Dr. Brent Hextell was born in Omaha, NE, but grew up in Illinois. He attended Morris Community High School located about an hour outside of Chicago. He attended the University of Iowa where he played baseball and earned his Bachelor of Science & Engineering for Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Musculoskeletal Biomechanics.

The Engineering Perspective on Human Health Dr. Brent G. Hextell provides a unique, science-driven approach to chiropractic care that sets him apart in the Northern Colorado medical community. With a foundational background in Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Hextell doesn’t just see patients; he analyzes the complex mechanical systems of the human body. He believes that the body is the ultimate high-performance machine, and like any machine, its performance is entirely dependent on its structural integrity and mechanical alignment.

Educational Foundation & Clinical Expertise Dr. Hextell’s journey into healthcare began at the University of Iowa, where he earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering. During his studies, he specialized in bio-mechanics, gaining a deep understanding of how physical forces impact biological systems. He later moved to the "fountainhead" of chiropractic care, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the world-renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

By combining the precision of engineering with the clinical art of chiropractic, Dr. Hextell developed a diagnostic process that identifies the root mechanical causes of dysfunction. His "Structural Fingerprint" exam allows him to create highly customized treatment plans that go beyond temporary pain relief to achieve long-term functional restoration.

A Leader in Sports Injury & Performance As a specialist in sports injuries and bio-mechanical analysis, Dr. Hextell is a trusted resource for athletes across the Front Range. Located directly across from the NOCO Ice Center and Integrity Sports Arena, his clinic serves as a hub for competitive athletes, weekend warriors, and youth sports participants. Whether he is performing a sports physical or treating a complex repetitive-use injury, Dr. Hextell applies a mechanical lens to optimize athletic performance and reduce the risk of future injury.

In addition to spinal health, Dr. Hextell is a proponent of "Whole Health" wellness. He utilizes Science Based Nutrition (SBN) to provide objective nutritional counseling based on bloodwork and laboratory testing, ensuring his patients have the chemical fuel necessary to support their structural recovery.

Award-Winning Care & Community Commitment Dr. Hextell’s commitment to clinical excellence has been recognized by the community he serves. He has been voted Windsor’s Top Chiropractor 7 times, a distinction that reflects his dedication to patient outcomes and professional integrity. He is an active member of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce and a frequent supporter of local community health initiatives.
