MOtion is life

Bottom Line
SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Trackable. In other words, when goal setting - be specific, make it measurable, make it attainable, be realistic, and make it trackable.

 Why It Matters
Most health goals are intended to help us make healthy living a habit, but much of the time too generic to keep us from falling back on old habits. That's where the SMART method comes in.

 Next Steps
Here's an example. Your goal is to run more. You specifically want to to run a half marathon. You can measure your progress with a training program in your Nike app. You can attain this goal because you've run before and are in good health. You can realistically set aside 20-30 minutes 3-5 days a week for this. You're going to track those runs on a calendar over the next 6 months until the marathon. You try!
